Our team members are the best in their fields, and average more than ten years of experience developing large-scale, distributed applications for supply chain management and enterprise resource planning. They provide the dynamic leadership that continues to drive Sockeye Supply Chain to new heights in supply chain visibility, adaptability, collaboration and responsiveness.
Brian Nickerson, President and CEO
Brian has more than 25 years of operations management experience and a track record of successfully starting up new operations and building highly effective teams. As director of product development for Baan, he was responsible for operations startup and subsequent delivery of a framework for collaborative commerce application development.
Throughout his 11 years with Numetrix Ltd., Brian held the positions of vice president of consulting and co-director of North American operations, vice president of research and development and vice president of technology. Prior to Numetrix, Brian worked in various operations positions with Lever Brothers Co., including corporate manager of production scheduling and materials planning.
Brian holds a B.Sc. in Microbiology from Purdue University, West Lafayette, Indiana, and an MBA from Ball State University, Muncie, Indiana.

Michael Wong, Chief Technology Officer
Michael has more than 25 years of large-scale software development experience, including 20 years in the development of supply chain management and ERP products. Michael was formerly the senior architect at Baan where he led the design and development of an application framework for development and deployment of collaborative commerce applications.
As senior architect at Numetrix, he led a development team that released a suite of multiuser, Web-enabled supply chain products based on a multitier, distributed, component-based architecture.
Michael holds B.Sc., M.Sc., and Ph.D. degrees in Physics from the University of Toronto, Ontario.

Gary Brown, Chief Financial Officer
Gary brings to his role over 30 years of financial experience, much of it in the software and high technology industries. He was formerly CFO and Senior Vice President of Mobile Computing Corporation (MCC) for 6 years. MCC is a developer of mobile enterprise software and hardware solutions with operations in the United States and Canada and was a publicly listed company before going private in 2005.
Prior to MCC, Brown was with Numetrix Limited, a supply chain software company, for 12 years as VP Finance and CFO. He began his financial career with Ernst & Young.
Gary Brown is a Chartered Accountant and has a B.A. in economics from the University of Toronto.

Effie Karagiorgos, Vice President of Technology
Effie has more than 16 years of experience in the software development industry, working for technology companies with a reputation for pioneering innovative quality assurance processes. Previously, she served as a senior architect at Baan and implemented a comprehensive quality program for the Supply Chain Solutions group. Effie was also responsible for the functional architecture of key components of the BaanSCS e-Supply Chain Suite and supporting APS products.
As quality assurance manager at Numetrix, Effie was responsible for software testing and quality assurance, and managed their development partnership programs.
Effie holds a B. Engineering, Department of Computer Engineering and Information Sciences, University of Patras, Greece and an M. Sc., Department of Computer Science, University of Toronto, Ontario.

Kezheng Gan, Vice President Research & Development
Kezheng has over 20 years of experience in research, enterprise software development. Kezheng has a record of leadership in technology innovation. He served as a senior architect at Baan where he was a key figure in the design and development of an innovative application framework for rapid development and deployment of supply chain collaboration applications.
Previously, Kezheng was a senior architect at Numetrix where he led the development of several core technologies which formed the base for the company's supply chain management software products.
Kezheng holds B.Sc., M.Eng. in Engineering from Tianjin University, China and Ph.D. in Electronic Engineering from the Science University of Tokyo, Japan
